Welcome to my new and improved Blog.

I decided it was time for a change!

I write this Blog for me, no one else, just me. It is a way to think outloud, and to share my experiences with the world. Maybe some will be interested and some will not, and who knows, I might figure something out myself. I will talk about whatever comes to my mind, and sometimes it is hard for me to do, but I will do it anyway.

I enjoy photography so you will see a lot of my work. I love to read and you will see quotes from my favorite authors. Generally follow my life as try to obtain my undergrad in Art History and English at Carleton University.

Please read, enjoy and comment, open disscussion is welcome.

This University Thing

I have been retyping my notes from 25 years ago and NOW I see where I can improve. My notes are Horrible! From spelling errors to just not enough detail to understand what's there. I can see why Miranda laughed when she seen my notes. I can see why I never got and an 80 in the class.
How the hell am I going to do this?
I'm sure going to look into those info sessions on note taking and writing papers.
Although I have to laugh at my tests.
They are type written and then ....
Not photocopied I can't think of the word...remember the smell of the ink?
I'll think of the word tonight when I'm not thinking of it.
Although going though these notes I do see I remember more than I thought. Some of the terms need refreshing but when I see the definition I go OH YEAH!
Grant you I'm putting way more into my notes than I did orginally.
It's nice to be doing this. The day just slips by in a blink.

When I went to Orientation last week I got a knot in my stomach driving into the gates. My thoughts raced and I was a suddenly a nervous wreck. Thinking OMG I'm actaully doing this! I still think I need my head examined. I found many people my age or maybe older in the room. Not a large amount but some. I picked up my student card and that gave me a thrill. I have a STUDENT CARD! I can't believe I have one after all these years. I also athinking I should get a partime job while there. Especially when I am there on Mondays with two classes on at 10 and the other at 4...Might help pay some fo the bills. I thinking of taking the bus and then the O train into the Univesity. The O train runs every 15 min all day right into the middle of the campus. Could be good. The only thing that is bothering me is Nathan. I have to be able to pick him up from the day care by 6. This could be a problem in the winter. I also waiting for a call from my student advisor. I really need help picking the right classes for me.

There is so much to think about and then some.
I start in 6 weeks!

Photo of the day
This was took during Nathan's party. I think it's a great shot of such a cute kid.
